Ok I need some help because I'm honestly getting a bit paralyzed by all the choices here. I'm sitting in a cafe near Jemaa el-Fnaa right now and in the last hour alone at least five different guys have stopped to show me brochures for desert trips, all with different prices and itineraries and promises. Some are these really cheap deals that seem too good to be true and others are super fancy with private tents and whatnot. I know I want to do Morocco desert tours from marrakech because everyone says it's a must-do, but I have no idea how to pick a reliable company without getting ripped off or ending up on a bus with forty people. I've been reading reviews online and some of these companies have great ratings but then you dig deeper and people complain about hidden fees or really basic accommodations that weren't what they expected. I'm traveling solo and would prefer a small group with other travelers my age, maybe mid-thirties-ish, but not necessarily a party vibe. Does anyone have advice on how to actually choose, like specific questions I should ask before booking or red flags to watch out for when they're pitching tours on the street? I've got a few more days here so I want to make sure I book something solid rather than just jumping at the first option.
